Payment and Refund Policy
Last updated: 30 October 2026
Scope of this policy
This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of courses and related digital resources offered through glimmerza. The courses cover audiovisual production topics including broadcast studio design, camera control systems, professional lighting arrangements, sound engineering and workflow optimisation for television and live events. It governs payments made by customers in the United Kingdom and explains how orders are processed, when contracts are formed and the circumstances under which refunds may be granted.
Prices, currencies, taxes and additional charges
All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling. Value Added Tax at the prevailing UK rate is included in the price shown at checkout. No hidden charges apply for standard access to course materials. If a customer requests an invoice or paper certificate an administration fee may be added and will be shown before payment is authorised.
Accepted payment methods and security
glimmerza accepts major credit and debit cards, PayPal and bank transfer. Payment is authorised at the time the order is placed. All transactions are processed through secure third-party payment gateways that comply with PCI DSS standards. glimmerza does not store card details.
Order confirmation and contract formation
A contract is formed when glimmerza sends an order confirmation email after successful payment. The confirmation contains details of the purchased course, access instructions and a summary of the applicable cancellation and refund terms. Access credentials are provided only after this confirmation.
Cancellation rights
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 customers ordinarily have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase. Because the courses consist of digital content, the right to cancel ends once the customer begins to access or download the materials. Customers must expressly agree to waive the cooling-off period before access is granted.
Refund eligibility and exclusions
Refunds are available only if the customer has not accessed the course content and requests cancellation within the 14-day period. Once any lesson, video or downloadable resource has been viewed or saved, the purchase becomes non-refundable. Promotional or discounted bundles are also excluded from refund once accessed.
Procedure to request a refund
To request a refund the customer must email info@dramabydesign.com or use the contact form on the Contacts page within 14 days of purchase. The request must include the order number, full name and a clear statement that no course content has been accessed. glimmerza will acknowledge receipt within two working days.
Inspection, decision and notification
glimmerza will verify that no access has occurred by checking account activity logs. A decision will be communicated by email within five working days. If the request is approved, a refund will be authorised. If rejected, the reasons will be explained together with any available options for appeal.
Refund method, timing and receipt of funds
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Credit or debit card refunds typically appear within five to ten working days. PayPal refunds are usually processed within three working days. Bank transfers may take up to seven working days depending on the customer’s bank.
Special rules for digital content and subscriptions
Once a customer has started streaming or downloading course materials the purchase is treated as fully consumed. No refunds are available for partially completed courses. Subscription renewals follow the same rules and may be cancelled before the next billing date to avoid further charges.
Failed payments, duplicates and suspected fraud
If a payment fails the order will not be processed. Duplicate charges caused by technical error will be refunded automatically once identified. Suspected fraudulent transactions will be reported to the relevant authorities and the account may be suspended pending investigation.
Mandatory consumer rights
Nothing in this policy affects the customer’s statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008. These rights cannot be excluded or limited by contract.
